Jupiter: growth
Posted under Planets![]()
This is Jupiter. His glyph looks like a “lucky 21.” Do not confuse Jupiter’s glyph with Saturn’s, which looks like a lower case “h” crossed like a “t”.
Jupiter rules
Sagittarius , and co-rules
Pisces
He was known to the ancients as the “greater benefic,” as people with strong Jupiter in the chart tend to be quite lucky.
Jupiter describes your:
Sense of proportion (in a “my eyes are bigger than my stomach” sort of way)
Sense of humor
Higher Mind: Knowledge, Wisdom,
Philosophy, Ethics and Morality
Propensity to gamble or take a risk
Higher Education
Expansion, abundance, BIGGER, MORE
Expectations
How you Relate to others
Exaggeration
Excessive tendencies
Jupiter is a huge, gaseous planet. He takes 12 years to circle the zodiac.
Jupiter rules these things and people:
Law and Law Enforcement, Publishing
Teachers, Mentors
And this part of the body:
The liver, sacrum, hips, and upper legs

??? if one’s jupiter was retrograde at birth what does that mean? will it go direct at some time in the future in one’s progressed chart…what does that mean…and if so does’nt that mean that other planets that weredirect at birth could then turn retro at some future time in one’s progressed chart???

What could this mean??...It’s supposed that jupiter is the most beneficial and saturn the most restrictive planet…so I don’t know how this could turn into real life.
Any idea?? Thanks form Spain!!!!!!:)

hi Molly,
what will happen to leos in 2009 due to the transit of jupiter in aquarius? is it going to be a negative year?
thanks (would really appriciate it, if you answer this quiery)
thanks a lot for this website

Hi Colette— nonono, the downside of Jupiter is not negativity, it’s exaggeration and excess. It can be a really good year. Just remember to keep everything in moderation and keep an eye on your expectations of other people, are they reasonable and logical (Aquarius)? Leo can get caught up in their own story. Use the Aquarius energy to learn to be more objective.

I have Jupiter in Scorpio in my second house. Please clarify if possible.
Thanks!

Hi Molly, I have Jupiter in Leo at 7 degrees (the 1st Decan of Leo) on the 10th / 11th House cusp (I can’t figure out which 1). How do you think Jupiter’s transit into Aquarius in Jan 2009 will affect me? Jupiter will be opposite my Jupiter. PS: What House will it be in next year?

Hi again Molly, can you elaborate on what my Jupiter in Leo in the 11th House means, and what can I expect for luck & fortune this year with Jupiter in the opposite sign of Aquarius?
11 · Isobel · 22 March 2009
Hi Molly,
I have Jupiter in Cancer, conjunct and the midpoint of Moon and Mars at the end of my third house, from 1-3 degrees. Combined with a Virgo sun and a Aries ascendant, I find it difficult to control myself. In one hour, I am moody, aggressive, angry, generous to a fault. Impulsive behavior vs. need for control and discipline. 24 hours of diverse activities followed by 24 hours of silence and sleep.
Yet when harnessed toward a project like an essay or an art project, I find the best of Cancer, Aries, and Virgo. (As well as its worst, with Mars square Pluto, I have to make sure I don’t get too obsessed, or I get sick! I always get sick after papers.)
