Neptune: compassion

This is the glyph for Neptune. It looks like a trident.
Neptune is the ruler of
Pisces.
Neptune is a symbol of the universal truth that all life is connected. In mythology, Neptune is the god of the sea. He has a dissolving influence on the area of life symbolized by the part of the chart he occupies. He dissolves boundaries and structures considered to be reality; therefore, reality and unreality are sometimes difficult to distinguish in this area. A desire to escape reality through fantasy or other means is common with Neptune.
It is this blurring of boundaries that is Neptune’s greatest gift, however. A strong Neptune indicates creative gifts, deep empathy and compassionate understanding of others.
Neptune in your chart symbolizes imagination and artistic talent, as well as psychic ability.
Neptune circles the zodiac in 125 years. He spends about 10 years in each sign. Everyone born in the same 10-year period as you will have Neptune in the same sign.

Hey, Just browsing your site = ) I am a pisces and what your site says about pisces pretty much sums me up. Weird..
Every word I read makes me very interested in the way the world works. Fits me perfectly. My beliefs are very strong for astrology.
I am learning how to do bith charts and astrology . Right
now I’m doing a chart for a friend who is Sun cancer with pisces moon and pisces rising. I know that neptune is the ruler of the chart here . the interesting thing is though she has Neptune in retrograde in her 9th house which also just happens be her south node . I know there must be something interesting in that aspect and I wondered if you could give me some information on this . She also has Mercury in rerograde in her 5th house cancer.
Neptune is common to the grand trine and t-cross in my chart. it also sits in the 4th house. should i be looking in the 4th for answers?
Seeing how neptune has a habit of dissolving boundarys of reality and my neptune is in Capricorn (which is more of a realist) ... well, how does that work (my sun is also in Capricorn)
Hi Chelsea--
Neptune moves slowly and is a “generational planet", meaning everyone in your age group has Neptune in Cap.
Think of Capricorn as representing buildings, structures, rules, business. And Neptune is what your generation does to those ideas. I.E makes them more fluid, more adaptable, more compassionate. Or more deceitful. It will be interesting to see what happens in water sports, the pharmaceutical industry, in architecture, government and business, as your generation comes of age.
How would you interpret progressing venus coming to Neptune in Scorpio 10 degrees. Natal venus Virgo.5th house I think. leo sun.
Thanks.
I have North node in 8th house with neptune, i feel everyone’s pain. I like escaping because of it. Used to drink do drugs to escape, now go hide a lot.
What kind of profession will be better for me having Moon Conjunt Neptune in the 10 House. I don’t Have a clue and I am 27 and counting! Thanks.
hmm, neptune in Capricorn? How about undersea colonies or floating cities? New regulations on water pollution? Kelp farm and giant marine agriculture corporations?
or maybe the revenge of the cetaceans:)
