Back from the bat cave
Posted under astrologyWhat a rough couple of weeks! May 8, I felt soreness in my throat. As the Sun squared Saturn on May 9, I threw up all morning. I thought, at least no more sore throat. So much for silver linings. As the Sun approached the square to Neptune on May 10, I came down with a nasty bacteria that invaded my bronchi and held on until May 18! (cough cough) I did start to feel a bit better after the New Moon.
I am so happy to be on the mend. As much as I hate the pain and trouble of being sick, there is a feeling of coming out of it renewed that I like very much. Kind of like exercise, I love it when it’s over! I feel better now than I did before I got sick. As Martha Stewart would say, that’s a good thing.
I had to down an entire bag of Ricola cough drops to make it through, but I managed to attend Lynn Koiner’s lecture on the astrology behind the diseases of aging yesterday. Lynn is a terrific speaker who has a body of astrological research that she has been working on since the 70s. She hopes to eventually get much of it up on her new website: www.lynnkoiner.com. Meanwhile, check out her posts on breast cancer, weight loss, and an interesting one on intercepted signs.
And it was great to connect with my friends at the Richmond NCGR. I had the opportunity to meet in person a few folks who I have worked with via internet and phone. Always a treat!
Lance Ferguson continues to work tirelessly to bring us the daily scoop over at Skywatch, as he has for well over 15 years now. Join me in wishing this wonderful Taurus a very happy Solar return.
Sara over at Node-o-rama had the vision and the initiative to gather a group of folks interested in studying books together. We are starting with Bernadette Brady’s Predictive Astrology: the Eagle and the Lark. Lots of people have good ideas, but many would rather throw them out and hope “someone” takes action. Good on Sara for taking the time to make the book club work. I think it will be a fun experience. There’s still time to join us— come on over!

emily dickinson:
After great pain, a formal feeling comes —
The Nerves sit ceremonious, like Tombs —
The stiff Heart questions was it He, that bore,
And Yesterday, or Centuries before?
The Feet, mechanical, go round —
Of Ground, or Air, or Ought —
A Wooden way
Regardless grown,
A Quartz contentment, like a stone —
This is the Hour of Lead —
Remembered, if outlived,
As Freezing persons, recollect the Snow —
First — Chill — then Stupor — then the letting go —

That’s beautiful, Jilly. Thank you. I need to read it about a hundred more times to take it all in. :)

Thanks Molly for the comment and nice to see that you bring the idea of the book club up here! I hope it will be enjoyable!
I read that you will be on holiday for the next weeks! I do hope you aren’t still sick, but you can go and enjoy yourself!
So have a GREAT HOLIDAY – relax and do fun things! I think you definitely deserve it, as much as you are giving all of us all the year around 24-7!! So don’t think of work or internet at all, just relax and have fun times!!
Take care!
