Ever had a stranger call you up and psychoanalyze you? VOC Moon today. A woman calls me up and introduces herself. Cold call, total stranger, got my number from some website (not this one). She was offering introductory “healing sessions” by phone. I tell her I’m working with healers now, I’m ok. I told her my boyfriend might be interested, asked if she would consider that instead. She persisted, I could help you so much, she said. I said, I don’t know, let me think about it, hoping that would end the conversation. She persisted. At this point, I’m thinking, no way I’m asking her to do me or my boyfriend. She criticized me for asking about him. I shouldn’t be giving “referrals” for practitioners I don’t know. She told me she had me sized up. She knew what my problem was and she could fix me up. All within the span of 5 minutes. It was such an invasion. Creepy. Yuck. No thanks.

Have you ever had a run-in with a pushy “healer?”

Luckily I do have something cool to share— look what I found!

I started knitting this sweater in January. I got this far on it. Then a raging desire to knit socks overtook me.

I tried it on back then… with a frumpy long sleeve t-shirt underneath. As you might imagine, it wasn’t very flattering. I lost interest in it. But today, it occurred to me to try it on with something I would actually wear with it. It only took me six months to come up with that genius idea. Sometimes something you don’t even notice is the key to becoming re-inspired. I’m excited about my sweater again. Can’t wait to finish it and wear it.
