How was it for you?

Hi all—
We had quite a weekend (and Monday) these past few days. I’m wondering how everyone fared. Mercury squared Uranus on Saturday, the Sun squared Neptune and opposed Mars on Sunday, Mars squared Neptune yesterday (Monday). November 5, 6, 7.
All the while, Venus sextiled Jupiter, and I have to say, despite feeling tired and getting a headache Saturday and nearly falling asleep on the drive home Sunday, and John being out of town, I had a pretty good weekend. Saturday there was an apple harvest festival nearby. It was good fun, and I got to confab with some friends I hadn’t seen in a while, as well as buy some great cider.
Sunday I drove 45 mins to another town for a dinner party. The feeling was pretty Neptuney, I must say, but it wasn’t bad. Except for driving home very, very sleepy. And coming home to find the refrigerator door was open.
Inspired by the fantastic house where the dinner party was, armed with the mantra “a place for everything and everything in its place,” I went on a mad cleaning spree yesterday. The kitchen looks lovely. And I cooked down the first batch of this year’s elderberry syrup.
How was your weekend?

Hi Molly,Our family really had a great deal of things going on last week and expecially last weekend. We all had headaches and tummy aches, probably from being exhausted, extremely tired, overly filled with emotions, and very neptunally spacy. But I feel, no I know, The Universe had a special plan for our family and some dear friends. First, Saturday was supposed to be a big three-year-old birthday party for my grandson at noon, complete with a rented ‘bounce-house' Teenage Nija Turtles theme. But early last week we found out that Sat. was the memorial service for our beloved friend who was like a second mom to my kids. She had past away after a sad long illness of 14 years. She had been in a rest home because of an awful aneurism. But amazingly all of my kids were visiting so we moved the birthday party to 6:00 at night and we all were able to attend. The sharing of Joan's memorial service and visiting afterward was a very special time for each of us. But wait, I need to back up a bit. Friday morning my grandkids little dog Jack died unexpectedly. We all loved Little Jack who had only three legs. So they wrapped Jack up, brought him to our house (a six hour ride from their house) and we had a little service that morning and put a candle and red and pink geraniums on his grave. Then Joan's service and then....Ahhh, then the party which was very nice but I think Uranus added her own brand of “punch” and Neptune was adding to the mix. (And the adult punch was quite tasty too.) Some adults had a little too much and wound up with a bit under the weather Sunday. Oh, and my one daughter told me she wanted to “come out of the closet”, which we all had suspected for a long time which is OK. Sunday was a nice slow morning and we all went to breakfast, but that was the day we had trememdous headaches. With all of this and the Mars retrograde, I am so, so tired. The events of last week, while very sad seemed to bring our old friends and our family closer together. I was expecting something to happen but it all was all a surprise.
