What a chart! Look at all the planets he has in ruling signs:
- Saturn in Capricorn – hard, hard worker, strong sense of responsibility
- Venus in Libra – social and diplomatic, kind of prissy
- Mars in Scorpio – you don’t wanna be on his bad side
- Jupiter in Sagittarius – philosophical and lucky, good sense of humor
Let’s talk about Rahm, ladies and gents— what do you think?

I think he’s kind of cute! ;)
He seems smart and capible to do a good job as Chief of Staff. Since he’s actually been in the White House before, I feel confident in him.
Can’t wait until Jan 20th!

Without a doubt, this will be a much cuter administration. :) Thanks for commenting, Melissa!

People.com: Five things about Rahm Emanuel
Sounds like Mars conj. Mercury in Scorpio, eh?

I disagree that having Venus in Libra reflects being kind of prissy. Perhaps you can back that up. Does he seem ‘prissy’ to you? Not me.
5 · Molly · 7 November 2008
I guess it all depends on what you consider prissy.
I’m happy to back it up since you asked, but there’s no need to get pissy with me about it.
And yes, he does seem prissy, or else I wouldn’t have written that.
He used to be a ballet dancer, and you can see that gracefulness to him. Freddie Mercury, another Venus in Libra native who I wrote about a while back, has that too. There’s something very proper and well put together about Venus in Libra. That’s what I mean when I say prissy. I don’t mean it in a derogatory way. I respect Rahm Emanuel very much, and Freddie Mercury too.

Pardon me for seeming a bit miffed, or, as you say, ‘pissy.’ That reminds me of my Mr. Coffee carafe which seems always to drip a bit when I pour out some freshly brewed ‘Java.’ I like to think, ‘So that’s why they call it MR. Coffee.’
Maybe it’s down to not just being a man but having Venus in Libra and simply not having faced up to being called prissy. I have to thank you for that (and for not feeling derogatory about it). I have wondered about my form needs.
Now I feel inspired to accentuate this newly understood prissiness, to make graceful inroads in my life. Maybe I can manage to lose weight by bringing all of this interest in form increasingly into my body rather than a focus on words.
[Dictionary:

Thanks for responding, Jonathan. No worries, my coffeemaker drips too. :) It was not my intention to label RE as a sissy.. I am quite sure he is not. It has far more to do with style (Venus). I like your idea about embracing your inner priss to bring about positive change in your life. Libra is a very strong sign, and Venus is super powerful there.

He has a good chart. Saturn trine Pluto and Saturn sextile Neptune. He has the mojo to be in on mass movements and changes for the better.
Great strength in the Scorpio stellium – Elliot Ness didn’t have such power – what a chart for an Attorney General.
Venus in Libra is no patsy. Eisenhower was a double if not a triple Libra. And he destroyed the Third Reich.
Sun Jupiter conjunction in Sag is a lawyer deluxe, and someone who sees into the future, and we really need some vision to set up realistic plans for America.
The astroids are front and center in his chart. Palas conjuncts his Sun/Jup. Juno exactly conjuncts his Merc along with Mars and the Moon. Vesta conjuncts his Neptune.
Molly will be happy to give you interpretations. One thing is this does give him a feminine surge, and skills and talents that are not usually found in a man’s chart.
The Sun squaring Pluto on the money is the only caution light I see in his chart…dead fish is mafia/Scorpio/Pluto…glad I’m on his side…
But sometimes that’s what it takes – Pluto – to break down barriers and fight the established crap…
the Venus Uranus sextile is fine…he wants all of us to win, not just the rich and famous…
I think Obama made a very wise choice. Note that their Suns trine…Rahm will always be his ally.

I think it all depends with Venus in Libra. I have Venus in Libra but I don’t consider myself to be prissy…(just a little guy crazy) but someone else with it may be, at least a little.
Molly, yeah, it’ll be easier to watch this administration!

But when it comes to being put together, yes, I like to be put together. And I love to dance! The word itself isn’t bad it’s just been used as an insult in the past.
11 · Molly · 9 November 2008
I’m sorry that I seem to have put people on the defensive with that word. I think that if you take the pejorativeness (?) out of it, it works.
Thanks so much for your comment, Lance.

I am so pleased with Pres-Elect Obama’s choice. Any comment on his Aquarius Rising? I guess I couldn’t help but feel positive about Emanuel—I’m a Sag with a Scorpio Moon (watch out—we don’t forget a thing) and Cap Rising.
We as a nation and the world are so blessed that we are at the dawn of a new epic in human history!!!

Look at all the squares – wow! Especially CHIRON and PLUTO.
Chiron – Uranus – Mars: Looks like accident, brutality.
And the MOON!
Also the sqares with Obi… Oh mei!
Sound policy…?!?
Wake up ;-)

Squares!!!1OMG!!! AAAaaaugh!!!!!!!!!
I’m sorry, ene mene… I don’t see how you come to the apparent conclusion that someone with Uranus squares wouldn’t be a good Chief of Staff.. if that’s what you’re saying. Your post doesn’t make sense to me. Are you going to back that up? Because frankly, your post sounds shrill and silly, not thoughtful. Squares, especially T-squares, are high energy and can be a very powerful engine for success.

Maria— thanks for your comment! I assume you are asking about Obama’s Aquarius rising. As we have no idea of RE’s birth time, we can’t be sure Aquarius is correct. He may even have a Sagittarius Moon if his birth time was in the evening.
Obama’s Aquarius rising points to his friendly demeanor, his agenda of reform and innovation in industry (I love his ideas about retooling the U.S. auto industry), and his effective use of technology in his campaign, and hopefully in his presidency.
(I’m a little bothered by the disappearance of the Agenda pages on change.gov. There used to be links pointing to the incoming administration’s plans on dozens of important issues. Some bloggers are suggesting they have been “scrubbed.” I imagine it’s something less nefarious, but I wish they would let us know what’s going on, if they will be re-posted, if it’s a technical issue, or what.)

Looks like he likes the lime light and will work hard for his group. Squares show that he gets motivated when the challenge is there, he’s definitely a team player and has been part of the Chicago Daley political machine for a long time.
