Notes from the first day of Stephen Buhner’s depth diagnosis course

The heart is not a pump!

The conventional idea of the heart’s function as a pump for the circulatory system is based on the 19th century fascination with steam engines/machinery, and is incorrect.

The right side of the heart is capable of shooting blood one foot into the air. The left side six feet. To drive blood through the 60,000 miles of blood vessels in the body the way 19th century physicians say, the heart would have to be capable of shooting a 100 pound weight one mile into the air.

The blood actually circulates without the heart.

The heart is a regulatory & endocrine organ

The heart stabilizes and regulates blood flow. Because the heart is hooked to the blood stream, it affects every cell in the body. Other organs “squeeze back,” creating an intricate feedback loop. (That’s why pulse diagnosis works.) The heart regulates ocular pressure and focus. It also creates its own hormones, and is directly hooked in with the brain and central nervous system.

60-65% of heart cells are neural cells just like in the brain and have a direct connection with the brain. The heart creates and releases its own neurotransmitters.

The heart is an electromagnetic generator. It creates an EM field 5000 times stronger than the brain’s.

Consciousness is mobile and can be located either in the brain, heart, or gastrointestinal tract.

heart coherence—shifting consciousness to the heart brings all other organs into rhythm. As soon as consciousness moves from the heart to the brain, heart function deteriorates, blood pressure rises. The rhythm of the heart sets the beat for the entire system.
